Who, What, When, Where and Why?

Who?

The Writing Project is the Brain child of Jesse Sherlock who is a 20 year old creative from Nelson. Jesse is now based in Brooklyn, Wellington. Occasionally a guest writers will pop on for an article every once and awhile.

What?

The Writing Project aims to publish pieces of writing which focus on being present and creative both in the moment and whilst crafting the writing itself. the format varies but is meant to be read like a letter from a friend you haven’t caught up with in awhile. I try and write stories which go beyond age and stage and hopefully anyone can get something out of them.

When?

There are two different series which run regularly on The Writing Project: The Journey and The Closer Look.

The Journey is a slightly longer and more reflective piece rooted in a good non fiction story which has stuck with me for the month. These pieces come out at 10am on the 1st of every month.

The Closer Look is a shorter more Comical and research based piece. it’s a deep dive onto something which people often seem to glance over in everyday life. The Closer look comes out at 10am on the 17th of every month.

Why?

Well thats up to you really. I put writing out into the world because i’m proud of what I make. I think the world is better place if we share the things we are proud of.
